0.12.0
BetaYour usage history is no longer deleted after 90 days.
Detailed records of your tool calls used to be deleted after 90 days, leaving behind only a monthly total. They are now kept for as long as your account is open.
Why this changed
The 90 day limit existed because we assumed keeping every record would grow unmanageable. It does not. One record is a few hundred bytes, so even a busy workspace produces well under a gigabyte a year, and the history is worth a great deal more than the storage.
What survived the old cut was a single count per workspace per month and nothing else. You could see that March had 12,000 calls, but not which tools they were, which connectors they went to, or how the error rate moved across the year. Those questions are now answerable for as long as you have been with us.
What you will notice
The monthly range on Overview now covers your whole history instead of starting from a rolled up summary, and the figures are live rather than refreshed overnight.
Activity still shows the most recent 90 days in detail. That is a limit on the view, to keep the page fast, not a limit on the data behind it.
We still do not store what your calls contain
This has not changed and is not going to. The record is metadata: which tool ran, on which connection, when, whether it worked, and how much data came back. We record that a call returned 400 rows. We do not record what was in them.
Two additions to the record
Each call is now stamped with which member of your workspace made it, and with the size of the response it returned. The first is so we can show you who in your team is using which connectors. The second is so unusual bulk activity on your account is visible. Both are metadata, and neither exposes the contents of a call.
If you close your account
Your usage history is deleted along with your workspaces, apart from the billing records we are required to keep. Closing an account is now the only thing that removes that history, so it is worth knowing that is what it does.
