Some platforms publish a lot of tools. Simpro has 260, Connecteam 110, and choosing the dozen a profile actually needs meant scrolling the whole list and ticking boxes by hand.

Every place you choose tools now has a toolbar above the list: on a connection, and on each connection inside a profile.

Say what the profile is for

Type what you want it to do, in your own words, then press Pick for me. Something like "read leads and quotes, and create jobs" turns on those tools and narrows the list to them, so you can see exactly what was chosen rather than hunting for the changes. It includes the supporting reads a write depends on, because creating a job usually means looking up the customer and the site first.

If it gets it wrong, Undo puts your previous selection back. Nothing reaches your endpoint until you save.

Search and filters

Search matches a tool's name and its description. Beside it you can narrow to read tools or write tools, hide the sensitive ones, or show only what you have already selected, which is the quickest way to review a profile before saving it.

Select all now follows the filter. Narrow to the write tools, press it, and you are left with those and nothing else.

What each tool does

Every tool explains itself on hover now, with the same description your AI client reads, so you can check a row before turning it on instead of guessing from its name. Tools that delete data, or that reach further than you might expect, carry a warning marker.
