Connect ChatGPT
ChatGPT reaches your business tools through the same profile endpoint Claude uses. You add it once as a custom connector, sign in with your FloConnector account, and the profile's tools become available in your chats.
Before you start
You need a connected platform and a profile to point at. See Connect a connector and Create a profile if you have neither yet.
Custom MCP connectors are a paid-plan feature in ChatGPT, and OpenAI has moved the setting around more than once as it rolled out. If you cannot see the option, check that your plan includes connectors and that any developer or beta toggle for custom connectors is switched on for your account.
Copy your endpoint
From the profile in your FloConnector dashboard:

- Open Settings → Connectors in ChatGPT.
- Choose to add a custom connector or MCP server.
- Name it something you will recognise and paste the profile endpoint as the server URL.
- Save. ChatGPT sends you to the FloConnector sign-in page to authorise it.
- Sign in with the email on your FloConnector account and approve access to the profile. The profile's tools load into the connector.
Authorising a connector signs you in to an existing FloConnector account. It never creates one, so make your account in the dashboard first.
Use it in a chat
Depending on your ChatGPT version you may need to pick the connector for a conversation before it will use those tools, rather than relying on ChatGPT to reach for them on its own. Start a chat, enable your FloConnector connector, and ask for something the profile covers, for example "list the jobs booked for next week".
Every call lands in your dashboard's Activity view, so that is the fastest way to confirm the wiring is live.
If something goes wrong
If the connector saves but exposes no tools, remove it and add it again. If it still shows nothing, check in the dashboard that the connection behind the profile is connected and that you are an assigned member of the profile. See Common issues.
A profile that exposes a very large number of tools can be slow for a client to load the first time. If that is you, split the work across two profiles rather than exposing everything at once. See Tool loading.
