Create a table
A table is a set of records your AI keeps between chats: a lead list, a tracker, a log. You can make one yourself in the dashboard, or ask your AI to make it for you, which is usually quicker because it picks the fields as well.
If you are not sure what a table is yet, read Tables first.
Ask your AI to make one
Your AI works with tables through the FloConnector connector, FloConnector's own tools. Switch it on once and every profile you add it to can use tables.
- Open Connectors, find FloConnector, and choose Enable. It needs no login: it is FloConnector itself.
- Add it to the profile your AI client uses, the same way you add any connection. See Create a profile.
- In a chat, say what you want to keep. "Start a table of everyone who asks for a quote, with their company, budget and where we're up to."
- Your AI creates the table, usually with a key (the field that makes each record unique, often an email), and tells you what it made. Then it can start filling it in.
From then on, in any chat, your AI can find the table again, read it, and add to it. "Who asked for a quote this week?" and "Mark Acme as won" both work.
Adding the FloConnector connector changes your profile's tool list, and AI clients only re-read that list when they reconnect. If your AI says it cannot see any table tools, disconnect and reconnect FloConnector in your client.
Make one in the dashboard
- Open Tables and choose Create table.
- Give it a Table name. That is all it asks for: the table starts empty. The name also sets the short name your AI uses for it, which never changes, even if you rename the table later.
- Choose Add column for each field you want, and pick its type: text, a number, a date, a list of options, and so on.
- Optional: on the column that identifies a record, like the email, open its menu and choose Make unique key.
- Choose Add row to start filling it in, or leave that to your AI.
Working in the grid
- Click a cell to edit it. Changes save straight away.
- Filter and sort from each column's header, and page through large tables.
- Open a column's menu to rename it, change its type, move it, or delete it. Deleting a column deletes its values from every row, so the dashboard asks you to confirm.
- Export CSV downloads the whole table.
Good to know
- Records are numbered 1, 2, 3, and a number is never reused, so "row 12" always means the same record.
- Writes are all or nothing. If your AI sends 200 records and one is wrong, none are saved, and it is told exactly which one to fix.
- Your plan sets the limits. Solo has 1 table, Pro 25 and Scale 100, with records counted across all of a workspace's tables. See Tables.
- Only owners and admins can use tables by default. To give a member access, see Permissions.
- Archive a table to freeze it; Delete removes it for good, and only the dashboard can do that.
