Install a skill
The Library is a set of skills written and maintained by FloConnector: procedures your AI client can follow, from qualifying a lead to reconciling a payment run. They are free to use and change, and installing one takes a click.
If you are not sure what a skill is yet, read Skills first.
Install one
- Open Knowledge and switch to Library.
- Pick a skill. You can filter by category, or by the connector it is written for.
- Click Install, choose the collection it should go into, and choose how you want to keep it (see below).
- It appears in that collection straight away, and reaches every profile carrying that collection.
You can also browse the whole library without signing in, at floconnector.com/skills. Add to FloConnector on any skill page opens it inside your workspace ready to install.
Keep updated, or make your own
The one decision worth understanding:
| Keep updated | Make my own | |
|---|---|---|
| Lands as | Live, read only | An editable draft |
| When we publish a new version | Your copy updates on its own | Nothing changes |
| Can you edit it | No | Yes |
| Change recorded | Yes, in the skill's history | n/a |
Keep updated is the right default for a skill you want to work and stay current without thinking about it. Your copy is rewritten whenever FloConnector publishes a new version, and each change is recorded in that skill's history so you can see what moved.
Make my own gives you an editable draft that is yours from that moment. It never changes unless you change it. Choose this if you know you want to adapt the skill to how your business actually works, which is usually the case for anything touching your pricing, your tone, or your process.
A skill you keep updated can be made editable later, in one click, and it keeps its text and its history when you do. You cannot go the other way, so starting with keep updated is the reversible choice.
A kept-updated skill goes live the moment it lands, so installing one needs the same permission as publishing a skill you wrote. Anyone who can write skills can still install their own editable copy. See Permissions.
After it is installed
It behaves like any skill you wrote yourself. It gets a tool name in its collection, it reaches whichever profiles carry that collection, and you can archive or copy it as normal. The only thing a kept-updated skill refuses is a local edit, and it tells you why.
A new skill changes your profile's tool list, and AI clients only re-read that list when they reconnect. If the skill does not show up, disconnect and reconnect FloConnector in your client.
Retired skills
A skill we stop maintaining is marked retired. It stays readable, downloadable and installable as your own copy, and anything you already installed keeps working. What it can no longer do is keep itself updated, because there is nothing maintaining it any more.
Using a skill outside FloConnector
Every skill in the Library is published under CC0, so you can copy, change, rename and redistribute it, commercially or not, with no attribution.
Download zip on any skill page gives you the same skill as an Agent Skills bundle, with the licence inside, for any AI client that installs skills from disk. The same download sits on the skill's page inside the dashboard.
Bringing your own
If you already have skills built for another client, you can import them instead. Zip the skill directories and use Import in Knowledge. You get a report first showing what would be created and what was skipped, and nothing is written until you confirm. Everything lands as a draft for you to publish.
A skill whose name already exists in the collection is skipped rather than overwritten, so an import can never quietly replace something you had been refining.
